PARIS COUTURE S/S12 | DIOR
on 24/01/2012We're so happy to be reporting the word 'fresh' today, following
Dior creative director Bill Gaytten's second couture offering. Last
season, his debut in the midst of Galliano-gate,
was clown inspired and drew fashion
frowns from far and wide.
But that's enough about that.
S/S12 heralds a new start - a welcome, clear relief. Almost
inspired by the transparent, the collection seemed x-ray like at
times, with technical stitching exposed and panels of the patterns
on display, teamed with intrinsic machine work.
Check out our highlights here. The clear winner for us being model Lee
Hye Jung in sheer, asymmetric, deep plum perfection.
Bravo Bill! Could this mean he's here to stay? We kind of hope
so, now.
