Karl Lagerfeld showed his couture collection on an aeroplane in the middle of the Grand Palais, yesterday, as you do.

And it was complete with in flight beverage service! The 'Air Chanel' plane took five days to construct, with the stewardesses naturally wearing Chanel couture.

Poppy Delevingne joked about "Joining the fashion mile high club with CHANEL" and other guests included Cameron Diaz, Diane Kruger (we see a pattern emerging here) gorgeous Eizabeth Olsen, and Vanessa Paradis - who made her first appearance since the rumors of her split from Johnny Depp.

Plus, of course, the king himself; Karl Lagerfeld who said after the show that when he's on an airplane, he wants to watch fashion "instead of a boring old movie. I love flying. It's the one time I can escape. I don't have to talk; everyone around me is watching screens. I can be alone. It's perfect." And why not?
